Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu 12oz Ribeye Steak Kobe Beef Style

As low as: $135.00

ENJOY THE MOST MEMORABLE DINING EXPERIENCE EVER: Japanese Wagyu ribeye, from Miyazaki, Japan. Of the four unique Wagyu breeds raised in Japan, Miyazaki Wagyu is Japanese Black Wagyu, known as Kuroge Washu in Japan. This breed accounts for 90% of Wagyu raised in Japan. For it to qualify as Miyazaki Wagyu beef, the beef must grade A-4 or A-5. At DeBragga we use only A5 grade with a marble score 10 or higher! Less than 3 % of all Wagyu produced in Japan receives this quality grade (grade is determined by several factors, including marbling ( 1-12), fat color ( 1-7), muscle color ( 1-7), firmness/tenderness of meat, and muscle dimension. If any of these criteria score less than perfect, it cannot be A-5).

What makes Miyazaki’s reputation for the finest Wagyu beef is a Culinary “Olympics” held every 5 years in Japan. The beef is judged over 9 criteria. To win this competition once is a lifetime dream. Miyazaki Wagyu has won TWO competitions, demonstrating that they maintain standards over the long term. This achievement clearly indicates that the Japanese consider Miyazaki Wagyu to be superior to all other Japanese Wagyu, including the beef from Kobe.

The team at DeBragga is proud to have the exclusive distributorship of Miyazaki Wagyu, 100% pureblood wagyu. Located on the southern Island of KYUSHU, the Prefecture of Miyazaki is the finest growing region in Japan, with a year round temperate climate conducive for producing excellent Wagyu. The cattle are raised on pasture until 16- 18 months, and then fed an increasingly rich diet of grains, primarily barley-based, for more than 450 days. They are antibiotic- and hormone-free, and they are given no animal by-products in the feed. The animal husbandry is the finest is the world (though not massaged by young maidens today, they still consume the occasional beer!).

real review: this steak was legit amazing, it somehow showed up on my doorstep in 1 day from east coast to LA (3000+ miles). easily the best steak i've had in my entire life. I will buy more later. 10/10 would buy again.
It's like I was in Japan again
By JazzJack on February 17, 2020
I've had Kobe and Ohmi A5 Wagyu in Japan, Teppanyaki style. The meat itself is definitely the same quality as those. However, this was actually better than the Wagyu I had in Japan because I had it cooked in a cast iron skillet. Just searing it 1 min on both sides (High Heat), It sealed in all the flavor and left a light char to chew with the soft melty fat inside.
Truely a unique steak falvor. One of the best three steaks I've ever had in my life.
By FCD on October 14, 2019
A great experience! This beef is tender (cut it with a fork!), buttery tasting and so rich that you can serve 4 oz instead of 12 oz. I'm not rich, or even well off, but I splurged to try a couple of these wagyu steaks. My only problem with this steak is it is pretty thin, so you need to be careful not to overcook it. This was the best steak I'd ever had...until I tried an aged, bone in, rib steak from DeBragga. Now I'm not sure which I like best. Lucky me, my birthday is only a couple weeks away and I have a 20 oz wagyu and a 28 oz, dry aged, bone in, rib steak that I can try in a side-by-side taste test.
Delicious. My advice..... you have to experience this beef at least once in your life. You will be glad you did.

ONE word DELICIOUS !!!!!! We have had Kobe and Hida beef in Japan.
The quality is the same. Beef was 90% still frozen when it arrived as promised. It is expensive but well worth the money.

By frank on January 10, 2019
i have heard about good the wagyu beef was could not justify the price . we had some special friends over for new years eve dinner and i thought rather going out to a stake house that would have cost about $400 i would do wagyu at home. it was a great success . the only problem the beef was so good i am going to have to buy some more

Best steak I’ve ever had. Definitely worth it; I think I’m going to make this a birthday tradition lol
Crazy good!
By Bmwjoon on September 27, 2018
I know purist will hate me :) Salt pepper. Sear 1.5 minutes per side over direct fire heat. Slice 90 degrees to the cap into 1/4" strips. Snake onto skewers and resear for 45 seconds as close to direct heat as possible per side. Great way to only give like $10 of beef per serving!
Rich and Delicious

To begin, flawless shipping execution from Debragga. Received my 2 Miyazaki ribeyes Friday before Labor Day weekend as scheduled. Not sure if these were shipped frozen but I live in Florida and when I got them they were not frozen but plenty cold in the insulated box w/ ice packs and vacuum sealed extremely tight. Put them in the fridge and cooked one the next day. Used my grill and a Baking Steel that I got ripping to 550-570 degrees. Seasoned the ribeye and tossed it on. Needed about 90-100 seconds per side for a mid-rare temp. I found cooking the steak as a whole was better than some websites suggestions of cutting to 4" x 1" logs. Flavor was incredible but by god is this a rich cut. First 12oz ribeye was shared between 4 people with a decent amount of sides (charred sweet potatoes, blistered cauliflower, salad) and we were all full. Then again we also ate a whole mess of charcuterie pre-meal so that probably contributed. Next day I split one ribeye with my wife and it was a little more than enough because of the richness. That time I sauteed shiitake mushrooms in the leftover fat on the baking steel and they came out incredible. I'd like to try the NY Strip next to see if it's a little less rich but overall this was an amazing cut of beef.

Mind blowing experience

This was amazing. I purchased 6 steaks for my bachelor party. Ribeye was the best cut for flavor. We cooked them many different ways. The winning method was to remove the steak from vacuum packaging, season with salt and pepper, then sous vide at 129F for 1 hour, remove and sear on cast iron skillet 1 minute per side. Flavor was better when preseasoned in the sous vide, and was preferred by everyone compared to those cooked in the cast iron skillet.
My new special occasion splurge!
By FoodieinVA on July 03, 2018
The first few bites took getting used to because the texture is so different from normal steaks. It melts in your mouth with amazing flavor! Oh, something I learned. First make sure the cast iron pan is seasoned with a high smoke point oil (grape seed, avocado, peanut, etc). Since it’s cooked over very high heat you don’t want the pan smoking before you put in a steak with this fat content. Don’t go on the highest heat setting either, go to 7-8.
Awesome steak , Best ever
By Wesley on June 01, 2018
Cooked this steak the day I received it cause I couldn’t wait. Very simple to prepare salt, pepper, and in a cast iron pan on the stove. 2-2/12 minutes and done. Best steak I have ever had in my life, nothing I’ve ever had compares to this. This will ruin you forever haha.
By Prentiss on April 19, 2018
This is very high quality Wagyu. I separated the cap and heart and lightly seasoned them with kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Then seared them in a stainless steel pan for about 90 seconds a side. I also used some of the trimmed fat to sauté some mushrooms and red bell peppers. Served this with white rice and sweet pickled cucumbers and red onion. A little pink salt, wasabi, and soy on the side for dabbing. Perfection! I look forward to ordering a 24 oz cut next time along with a New York strip. Thanks Debragga.
Best thing I ever ate.

Worth every penny
By Ryan on February 27, 2018
This was, without a doubt, the best steak I have ever had from a butcher. I've had many "American Wagyu" steaks from local butchers, which were good, but they PALED in comparison to this. Incredibly expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? Absolutely.
Perfect for events

By Alejandro on January 02, 2018
For little over a year, I have ordered more than 15 Miyazaki Ribeyes. I will continue to do so because there is nothing that can even compare to the experience. All of the ribeyes I have ordered have been amazing with no exception.

Only the best
By Gail on June 08, 2017
I regularly buy American Kobe beef, but always wanted to taste the real deal. Oh my goodness! They are as different as chicken is from regular beef. I briefly seared the steak and it was juicy, delicious and just melted in my mouth. I will be buying from you again. I may not have a steak often, but when I do I know it will be the best from DeBragga.
This is the real deal. Genuine A5 Wagyu!
By Ramen Baka on May 26, 2017
I've been looking for A5 quality wagyu, was disappointed by a couple of places' so called "American Wagyu". But this is the real deal! Genuine A5 quality, highly marbleized that just disintegrates in your mouth. I just hope it can be available in thicker cut, something like 1.5"
By Picky eater on April 12, 2017
Wow! WOW! WOW!
Exceed my expectation!
Excellent ! Very soft and tasty!
Amazing life experience
By Tim on March 30, 2017
I used the sous vide to cook this steak to 140 degrees and then seared for 1 min per side. It was amazing. I cut it with the side of a fork. This will be the steak that all others are judged upon.
F%*#ckn awewsome

Magnificent steak
By Zazie on December 17, 2016
The Miyazaki Ribeye was incredible. It was meltingly tender with a rich complex beefy flavor unlike any other piece of beef I have ever had. Debragga's does a great job of packing the meat for shipping. I will definitely be ordering in the future.
By Rico on December 15, 2016
If you like the texture of regular steak then you will not like this. This is like beef butter when cooked. Not a pleasant texture and mealy tasting. Definately not a traditional steak taste. Buy one to try before you invest in more
Highly recommend
By David on December 13, 2016
This is as good as at our favorite steak restaurant in Tokyo.
A superb Steak
By BeauneCrusher on December 13, 2016
A superb steak, undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. Intense flavors, and a textural quality from the crisped fat made it unforgettable, and it was fun trying match it with wines.
Never would order Japanese Wagyu from no one else
By Giovanni on October 21, 2016
By far the best steak ever eaten..... Every person that I have grilled it for was blown away. All the meats I order from Debragga has been hands down the best and there not frozen they ship them chilled with ice packs in cooler

Five stars all around. Service, delivery and incredible taste.
Ahhhhmazing Steak!
By Kristen S. on September 30, 2016
Purchased 1 of these steaks to serve to friends and family as an appetizer. None of us have ever had a steak so unbelievable delicious in our lives! I sliced the steak very thin and served it with hot volcanic stones to lightly sear it. Oh. My. Gosh. It literally made me gasp it was so meltingly tender. It was practically beef butter. If you're considering making the splurge I would highly recommend it! Dealing with DeBragga was great as well. They are very accommodating and a wonderful company to deal with. We will definitely be doing business again. :) thank you!!!
By Ying on June 08, 2016
