DeBragga's Rare Breed Gloucester Old Spot Pork

WON THE NEW YORK COMPETITION!

Thanks to Seungjoon Choi, Hortus, for the Winning Recipes

TOGETHER WE GO TO THE NATIONALS IN CHICAGO 9/15/19!

DeBragga is proud to raise The Gloucester Old Spot hog, a venerated animal of British ancestry that is one the finest eating hogs in the world. It is also one of the rarest, due to the longer time it takes to grow these hogs to maturity. Just like it is with DeBragga’s Wagyu beef, we take twice as much time as commodity breeds to finish these beautiful hogs, resulting in richly marbled meat with an elegant taste. We raise these hogs on a barley rich diet in conjunction with the Amish communities in upstate New York, from our own pure blood breeding stock. We have always felt that there was no better pork than the Gloucester Old Spot anywhere. And now the Cochon555 New York City win proves it! Of course, they are hormone free – and our unique Gloucester Old Spots are never given antibiotics for growth-promoting reasons. We have been raising these award-winning hogs for ten years, and now are earning the recognition that these world-class animals have always deserved!.

Cochon555 is THE defacto pork competition in the U.S. A nose-to-tail culinary tour dedicated to supporting family farmers, Cochon555 also aims to educate chefs and consumers about the agricultural importance of utilizing Old World livestock. Cochon works with every type of restaurant imaginable, and the participating chefs share one core value: sourcing responsibly. The nine-city 2019 tour began in Dallas and ends with the Grand Cochon in Chicago, September 15. DeBragga will be there with Chef Choi and our winning Gloucester Old Spot pork hoping to take the grand prize!
