Pork Butt Leftovers: Jamaican Jerk Pork Soup

Fall into this amazing Jamaican Jerk Pork Soup using your leftover Pork Butt!!
  • Prep Time 10 Minutes
  • Cook Time About 30 minutes


  • 2T butter
  • 2T olive oil
  • 1 med Vidalia onion, diced
  • 2 cubanelle peppers or seasoning peppers, diced
  • 2 scotch bonnet peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2T Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • 2 med unpeeled Sweet Potatoes, diced
  • 4 cups chicken stock


  1. In a large pot, heat the butter and olive oil until sizzling
  2. Add onion, peppers, garlic, and saute on low until the onion softens. 
  3. Stir in Jerk Seasoning and the sweet potatoes
  4. Let saute for 5 minutes
  5. Add chicken stock and pork
  6. Simmer until potatoes are cooked
