New York, NY – 1.22.09 – Luxurious meats are on the menu this Valentine’s Day, thanks to the fine quality meat and poultry products available at  Enjoy your Valentine’s Day celebration at home, and prepare exactly the kind of decadent evening you wish, without scrimping or cutting corners.  This year, DeBragga offers two special meal ideas for Valentines, one based on a tradition of romance and seduction: the sinfully tender filet mignon.  The second menu is a grand feast: a dry-aged, hand-cut Frenched rib chop Bordelaise for two.  Complete Valentine’s Day dinner kits serving two people –including an 8 ounce terrine of France’s finest foie gras, 8 ounces of black truffle butter, 14 ounces of excellent veal demi-glace for the perfect sauce, and a 4 ounce container of Fleur de Sel sea salt –are priced as follows: the filet mignon kit is $150, and the rib chop kit is $110.


The kit featuring filet mignon comes with four 6-ounce filets from the most tender and flavorful Certified Angus beef.  These produce a magical main course, either topped with a round of black truffle butter or with slices from the terrine of foie gras, making Tournedos Rossini!  Save enough of the foie gras for hors d’oeuvre, sliced and served on toast points with a pinch of sea salt.


The kit featuring the Frenched Rib Chop Bordelaise for two offers an approximately 32-ounce, bone-in rib chop of hand-select, Certified Angus beef, frenched to reveal the bone and present beautifully.  Make a beautiful sauce with the veal demi-glace finished with black truffle butter, or make DeBragga’s Bordelaise sauce in the recipe file.


Both the filet mignon kit and the Frenched rib chop kit include black truffle butter, foie gras terrine, veal demi-glace and a container of Fleur de Sel to season the meats perfectly.  Serve the foie gras as an appetizer with toast, and add the truffle butter to any vegetable or potato to complete the perfect meal.  Cook at home, buy and serve the best.
