Mangalitsa is unlike any other type of pork. The Mangalitsa hog's plentiful fat tastes very clean and light; and is generally more monounsaturated than other pig fat. It melts on the tongue. The fat also encases the rich meat, ensuring the full flavor and rich feel of this special type of pork. DeBragga’s whole boneless ham is dry-cured and then packaged for shipment. It gives you the convenience of a slice and serve ham, much like a prosciutto, but with all the rich marbling you can expect from the Mangalitsa breed. This is the perfect ham to serve at parties and festive gatherings. Wrapped loosely, the ham can be held at room temperature and served over many months which is why it dry cures so well.
